Reel Sports Fantasy Football Commissioner Report 3.0
Weeks 5-7 Recap
Week 5 Recap
This week was an explosive one across the board. Only one team managed to score less than 120 points. Conley continues to dominate with the tag-team duo of Dak Prescott and Jonathan Taylor. And superstar Christian McCaffrey is on the move, once again.
It was also the week of heartbreaks and near-misses. Chanze pulled off the closest win of the year, edging Griffin by a single point, marking his third win in a row. Meanwhile, Nolan quietly put up a 190-point explosion behind three multi-touchdown performances, reminding everyone that his roster depth is dangerous.
Matchups/Scores:
Chanze def. Griffin 143-142 [Game of the Week]
Spencer def. Caleb 138–120
Conley def. Jacob 188-133
Jordan def. Mac 181-103
John def. Dillion 147-142
Nolan def. Adam 190-127
Trade of the Week
Chanze receives RB Christian McCaffrey, RB Isiah Pacheco, WR Nico Collins, & WR Jaylen Waddle.
Sends: B. Irving, N. Chubb, St. Brown, & G. Kittle
Commissioner Grade: B+Jacob receives RB Bucky Irving, RB Nick Chubb, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, & TE George Kittle.
Sends: C. McCaffrey, I. Pacheco, N. Collins, & J. Waddle
Commissioner Grade: C-
This was a blockbuster trade by all definitions: eight total players swapped, including McCaffrey (again) and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Chanze’s willingness to gamble on star power continues to define his season, while Jacob hopes that stacking high-floor veterans can stabilize his roster.
For now, Chanze wins this trade simply for snagging McCaffrey.

Week 6 “The Big Break Up” Recap
If Week 5 was fireworks, Week 6 was the fallout. The week started with a league-wide implosion in our Facebook Messenger chat. Alliances fell apart, people left, and the once-loud room where we all talked daily has gone completely silent.
Dear League-mates,
I keep checking it like an ex’s profile, hoping someone will say something. Anything. Even a meme. But it’s quiet now. Just the echo of old trade offers and “who’s watching this game?” messages from better days.
I miss us. I miss the dumb arguments, the side jokes, the spontaneous chaos that made this league feel alive. Shitting on the Denver Broncos with Jacob around. Now it feels like everyone went off to college and forgot to text Dad back.
If anyone wants to talk, you don’t have to make a scene. Just message me. Whisper it like a secret. Suggest a rule change, a fix, or even a new group chat. I won’t tell anyone.
Until then, I’ll keep the Messenger thread open, hoping that y’all come back.
It feels like I got custody of the group chat after an unnecessary divorce. Let’s fix it.
Love,
Me (Adam)
On the field, Adam stunned Conley 195–126 in one of the biggest upsets of the season, ending Conley’s huge run. John and Griffin traded haymakers in a 370-point slugfest, with John emerging victorious and leaping up the Touchdown Leaderboard.
Matchups/Scores:
Chanze def. Spencer 154-148 [Game of the Week]
Adam def. Conley 195-126
John def. Griffin 202-168
Jordan def. Dillion 117-93
Mac def. Nolan 190-127
Caleb def. Jacob 144-101
Trade of the Week
Jordan receives RB JK Dobbins & WR Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Sends: C. Sutton, J. Gibbs
Commissioner Grade: B-
Jacob receives RB Jahmyr Gibbs, WR Courtland Sutton.
Sends: J. Dobbins, St. Brown
Commissioner Grade: B-
A calm, respectable trade amid the rubble of our “big breakup.” Both teams fill positional needs, neither side “won” it yet. Only time will tell.
Touchdown Leaderboard After Week 6

Jordan +3 (38)
Nolan +6 (36)
Spencer +6 (35)
Mac +8 (32)
John +8 (30)
Chanze +6 (29)

Week 7 Recap
It’s a lot quieter around here now…
Dillion edged Caleb by a single point in the Game of the Week, keeping his playoff hopes alive and snapping a three-game skid. Spencer posted yet another 170+ performance, vaulting himself firmly into second place in touchdowns, while John continues his midseason surge with another near-200 point showing.
Adam fell short in a shootout with John despite putting up 177. And though Conley bounced back with an easy win over Griffin, the once-untouchable leader is starting to feel some pressure from below.
With no trades and our Messenger “breakup” still fresh, this week was defined by silence off the field and heavy scoring on it.
Matchups/Scores:
Dillion def. Caleb 120-119 [Game of the Week]
Jordan def. Jacob 174-149
John def. Adam 194-177
Chanze def. Mac 167-130
Conley def. Griffin 183-107
Spencer def. Nolan 177-146
Trade of the Week
Historic moment: a full week without a single trade. That hasn’t happened once in this league’s three-year history. Probably has something to do with our messy Facebook Messenger “breakup” during the week prior.
To me, this song feels very appropriate:
Touchdown Leaderboard After Week 7
Conley +8 (53)
Spencer +11 (46)
Jordan +7 (45)
Nolan +8 (44)
John +9 (39)
Chanze +7 (36)
Jacob +7 (35)
Mac +2 (34)
Adam +6 (32)
Caleb +3 (28)
Dillion +3 (27)
Griffin +1 (26)
Looking Ahead
Week 8 arrives with a strange calm. The top stays steady with Conley, Spencer, and Jordan leading the charge, but the middle’s starting to blur. John keeps stacking wins and creeping into contender territory. Nolan scores like a team possessed but still hasn’t quite put it all together. Chanze has the kind of lineup that could explode at any moment, and Griffin’s just trying to score more than three touchdowns this week—something he’s failed to do twice this season.
The trade deadline is creeping closer, the standings are tightening, and even without the noise of the group chat, this league still feels alive.
Week 8 Matchups
Adam (2-5) versus Spencer (5-2)
Jordan (5-2) versus Conley (5-2) Primetime Game
John (5-2) versus Caleb (1-6)
Mac (3-4) versus Griffin (2-5)
Dillion (2-5) versus Chanze (5-2)
Jacob (2-5) versus Nolan (3-4)
Other Updates
TRADE DEADLINE REMINDER: the Week 13 trade deadline falls on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM, assuming Sleeper App uses the standard “mid-week before games start” rule.
The Reely Cool Stuff
This section is where every team owner can showcase creative (or personal) works beyond fantasy football. Our league is full of talented people from all walks of life, and several are serious artists who deserve the spotlight.
To start, check out this awesome photograph of a future Los Angeles Rams superfan—John’s favorite photo of his newborn son, Jace:
Also, John just benched 225 lbs for the first time in his life, which (according to Nolan) is what future NFL players press at the Combine. Congratulations on both your beautiful family and your new PR, John.
Meanwhile, Jacob just launched his own Substack, Jacob’s Film Perspectives, where he dives into his favorites and most new releases. Click this to link to his page.
Speaking of film, Adam has officially locked in November 18 and 19 as the tentative shoot dates for his new film, The “United” States of America. A satirical take on First Amendment rights with an intentionally provocative release date of January 6, 2026.
In the summer of 2023, Adam and Spencer met on the set of Top Chef: Wisconsin. Since then, Spencer has worked three full seasons with the show and just wrapped filming its twenty-third season, shot in the Carolinas and set to premiere in early 2026.
If there’s anything that you want to submit for the next commissioner report, please message me about it. I am excited to share more about…
Wait… what? Da what?

.
“DA BEARS!!” he shouted.
So I asked him to repeat himself.
“Four game win streak… DA BEARS!”
And that’s the bottom line,
Mac
Your Commissioner,
