Reel Sports Fantasy Football Commissioner Report 2.0
Weeks 3-4 Recap
Week 3 Recap
A lot has changed, and a lot has stayed the same since our last check-in. The standout performance belonged to Conley (3-1), who racked up twelve touchdowns in Week 3 alone, outscoring what some teams have managed for the entire season.
Game of the Week: Caleb (0-4) vs. Chanze (1-3), where Chanze earned his first win of the season, edging Caleb by just four points.
Another fireworks show came from Conley vs. Mac (2-2). Both cleared 160 points, but Conley dominated with 194. John and Griffin slip to the bottom of the Touchdown Leaderboard after only scoring a total of two, this week.
Other matchups:
Jacob def. Adam 143–115
Spencer def. John 148–102
Griffin def. Dillion 130–118
Nolan def. Jordan 185–162

Commissioner Grade: B
This Week (3), Chase Brown managed only 4.5 points on 10 carries for 3 yards, while JK Dobbins and Keon Coleman combined for over 21 points in Jacob’s starting lineup, highlighted by Dobbins’ 80-yard, one-touchdown day.
For now, Jacob wins the trade… and the rivalry between him and Adam.

Week 4 Recap
It took four weeks, but we finally had a week where there were truly no blow out performances. The biggest win was only by twenty-four points (Chanze def. Adam, 179-154).
But there is one performance worth mentioning, and that’s Johns. Last week, he sat in dead last place of the Touchdown Leaderboard with eight. This week he scored more than eight, and leaped up to seventh in touchdowns (with 17).
Game of the Week: Spencer (3-1) def. Jordan (2-2) by only three points, behind a monstrous 35-point performance from RB Josh Jacobs.
Other matchups:
Conley moves to first place with his win over Dillion, 135-133
John def. Jacob 165-144
Mac def. Caleb 168-145
Griffin def. Nolan 161-150
Trade of the Week
Chanze receives RB Christian McCaffrey, WR George Pickens
Sends: WR Puka Nucua, WR Chris Godwin
Commissioner Grade: B+
Mac receives WR Puka Nucua, WR Chris Godwin
Sends: RB Christian McCaffrey, WR George Pickens
Commissioner Grade: B-
This type of trade will take a few weeks to assess. Directly following the trade, Chanze gained three touchdowns from his haul in comparison to Mac’s one (from Puka Nucua). Since the trade, Chanze has already traded away George Pickens (to Adam). And, Mac did not start the newly-acquired Chris Godwin, which paid off because Godwin only scored four points despite the ten targets (oof).
Touchdown Leaderboard After Week 4
Conley +5 (29)
Jordan +7 (28)
Spencer +7 (23)
Jacob +7 (22)
Mac +4 (21)
Nolan +4 (21)
Adam +3 (18)
Chanze +7 (18)
John +9 (17)
Caleb +7 (17)
Dillion +5 (16)
Griffin +4 (13)
Looking Ahead
It’s still early, but the standings are razor-thin. From first to twelfth, every team is only two wins apart. So if you’re ready to write off Caleb’s 0-4 squad, or you think Conley’s 29 touchdowns mean he’s already locked in, you might want to think again.
Almost two years ago, we lost a member of this group who proved exactly how quickly things can turn. Sam Williams (RIP) clawed his way from last place to a playoff berth in the very final week. That resilience and fight is why we named the Comeback Sam Award after him. This season, that story could just as easily be yours (…not the dying part).
Week 5 Matchups
Conley (3-1) versus Jacob (2-2)
Nolan (3-1) versus Adam (1-3)
John (2-2) versus Dillion (2-2)
Spencer (3-1) versus Caleb (0-4)
Jordan (2-2) versus Mac (2-2)
Griffin (2-2) versus Chanze (2-2)
Other Updates
Next season, we’ll officially transition into a one-keeper league. We recently voted on the stipulations for keeper players, but Griffin pointed out we overlooked one important detail. After some discussion, he and I worked out a solution.
The question: What happens with players who were not drafted in 2025?
Here’s how it’ll work:
Before the 2026 season begins, we’ll review each of those players on a case-by-case basis.
As a league, we’ll assign a draft-round value for anyone who qualifies under those limited parameters. This truly is only needed if an owner were to consider keeping a previously-undrafted player, which is not likely.
Important note: this does not apply to players who were drafted, cut, and then picked up from waivers (Malik Nabors, etc.). Their keeper value will still be tied to their original draft round.
The Reely Cool Stuff
This section is where every team owner can showcase creative (or personal) works beyond fantasy football. Our league is full of talented people from all walks of life, and several are serious artists who deserve the spotlight.
I didn’t get as many submissions as I’d hoped for, so I’ll make it quick. Jacob Smith returned with his podcast, “Jacob’s Film Perspectives,” to talk about new releases like The Conjuring and One Battle After Another. He regularly posts movie reviews on his social media channels, through “Saturday Night Nerds Network.”
Newest episode:
Actor Jordan Dennis opens “Sweat” by Lynn Nottage at The Alpha Players of Florissant Performing Arts Center, as Jason. Sweat is a Pulitzer Prize-winning stage play that explores how factory layoffs and racial tensions fracture the friendships of blue-collar workers and their families.
Additionally, I just published a killer piece with Milwaukee Record about the origins of the 2006 cult classic, “Monster House.” Now, I’m working on this damn commissioner report for you bozos, every other week. Also, another screenwriter in the group, Nolan Nickerson, is eager to produce his feature film script, “Lakeshore Concrete,” in the Milwaukee-area in 2026.
If there’s anything that you want to submit for the next commissioner report, please message me about it. I am excited to share more about YOU. Even if you’re not an artist and want to just share updates about your personal life (new job, family achievements, vacation photos, etc.), I will gladly do so.
Your Commissioner,
